Forever the Club Queen of Baltimore

Club Queen Dj K-Swift (Dj and on-air personality for Baltimore radio station 92Q) born Khia Edgerton passed away at the young age of 29 in a swimming pool accident at her home on Monday July 21, 2008. Police reports indicate that K-Swift drowned in her own pool during a party at her northeast Baltimore home Sunday evening. According to police K-Swift dove into the pool after she had been drinking. Partygoers apparently did not notice that K-swift did not resurface immediately after diving in. Her body was pulled from the pool by friends, who then called paramedics. K-Swift did not respond to CPR and was later pronounced dead at Good Samaritan Hospital.  

"She was special because she was more than just a DJ, she was role model for young people. They looked up to her," ..."I watched her grow from being a DJ, to a mixer, to a business woman and finally someone who gave back to the community. She was simply special." said Nikki Howse, program director for 92Q.

The accident is curently being investigated to rule out any other causes of death. Our sympathy and prayers go out to the family friends and fans of Khia Edgerton Club Queen Dj K-Swift. Rest In Peace.

Who Wore it Best: Sidney Lauren vs. Courtney

For our first edition of Who Wore it Best, model Sidney Lauren and OverAchiever promoter/assistant Courtney [Ayana Lovesherjob] have both been spotted wearing the same gold dress. Courtney was first spotted wearing the dress at an event in March 08 at LOVE night club. Sidney Lauren was spotted wearing the simply gold number at the Trey Songz performance at FUR nightclub in July 08. Shoutout to DJ Goldenboy & the entire LGI family (!
